E-Services 2.0
The E-Services Steering Committee adopted the updated E-Services 2.0 project handbook at its meeting on September 8, 2021.
The decision was preceded by an intensive revision process. In this process, the regulations in place since 2018 were critically scrutinized with the involvement of the project managers, the digitalization officer at RPTU and other stakeholders. The aim was to continue to carry out the projects within a uniform framework, to strengthen the binding nature of deadlines and planned resources and, at the same time, to keep the administrative effort for project management within reasonable limits.
The main changes are
- Introduction of a "client" role for each project with direct responsibility for the progress of individual projects
- Elimination of the role of project area managers, thereby strengthening direct communication between project managers and project committees
- Adaptation of the project planning process with early involvement of key line units, in particular Procurement and RHRK
- Establishment of a digitalization and structural reform project group to dovetail e-services with the merger project and bundle those involved
- Anchoring project principles such as a stronger focus on standard software and the associated adaptation of internal processes to the software manufacturers' best practice processes.
