RPTU post office

Central point of contact

The post office at the RPTU is the central point of contact for all incoming and outgoing mail. It plays an important role in communication and the flow of information within and outside the RPTU.

Internal mail

Internal mail is delivered to the post offices in the morning, in the afternoon and, if collected in the afternoon, the next morning. However, this can only be guaranteed if the full address is provided. It is not sufficient to provide only the building/room number, for example. In addition to the name, the department and location should also be specified, e.g. Mr/Ms XY, M+VT, Building 97/Room 811.

External mail

The RPTU mail office is recognised as a self-booking office by Deutsche Post AG. This means, among other things, that only official mail may be sent and allows for priority processing of items posted (which, based on experience, results in short delivery times). Violations of the relevant service regulations of Deutsche Post AG could lead to the withdrawal of the self-booking permit.
External incoming mail is distributed to the mail collection points of the departments on the same day. All outgoing mail received by the mailroom by 12:00 noon is delivered to Deutsche Post AG on the same day.
