The preliminary project for the introduction of HISinOne-STU and -EXA at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau was launched in mid-2024. The aim was to clarify open questions regarding requirements and schedules for the RPTU-wide implementation of HISinOne, in particular the STU and EXA modules, based on the results of the preliminary project at TUK.
Over the course of the past year, various workshops were held in which HIS consultants presented the current state of development of the individual product areas. At the same time, campus management processes at the Landau site were analyzed and common processes for Kaiserslautern and Landau were identified. Site-specific features in the processes and requirements for the future software development of HIS were worked out.
The preliminary project resulted in a schedule agreed between RPTU and HIS eG for the subsequent implementation projects of the HISinOne modules STU and EXA, which will be developed jointly for both locations.
The final report of HIS serves as the basis for the long-term planning of the subsequent projects. Adjustments to the schedule may become necessary in the course of the further project phases, in particular due to possible delays in the ongoing projects to merge the legacy HIS-GX/SOSPOS systems.
