The HISinOne software package is to be introduced at RPTU as a new campus management system (CMS) with various modules (application and admissions management (APP), student management (STU), degree program and examination management as well as (teaching) event management (EXA). This will replace the previous heterogeneous software landscape with an integrated software system and thus make work in the area of teaching more efficient and convenient for employees and students.
The project was launched in October 2020 and currently consists of several sub-projects:

1. "CMS HISinOne APP (CMS-APP)"
2. "Merging CMS (HISinOne / HIS GX) TUK+LD"
3. "CMS - project preparation CLD / RPTU (preparatory project for the introduction of STU and EXA at RPTU)"

Another sub-project "Change/unification of the TUK+CLD university name and logo" was successfully completed at the end of 2023. The project started in mid-2022, together with the "CMS merger" project. The two projects resulted from the merger of TU Kaiserslautern and the Landau campus.
The project involved adapting all printed materials, student administration notifications, portals and websites to reflect the new name and logo of the merged university. The project was successfully completed at the end of 2023 with a delay of 6 months. Minor rework is currently taking place during regular operations.
As part of the "CMS merger" project, the various systems of Landau and Kaiserslautern are being merged. The prerequisite for this is the merging of the data basis (student data) and the conversion of the joint database systems to PostgreSQL. The latter was successfully completed last fall. Work is currently underway to further clean up and consolidate the key tables in order to merge the SOS databases by 30.11.2024 as a milestone in cooperation with the manufacturer. The complexity of the merging process is only gradually becoming apparent in detail, which has already led to delays in the project process in some places in conjunction with scarce resources.
The merger serves to prepare for the further introduction of HISinOne-STU and -EXA at RPTU as a whole. The preparatory project for this started in the middle/end of last year and is currently running with various workshops in Landau under the direction of Mr. Gänger and HIS.
The application campaign for the 2024 summer semester started last November in the HISinOne APP introductory project. Innovations included the integration of all departments at RPTU in Kaiserslautern and adjustments to the recognition processing for the teaching degree subjects. Preparations were also made for the introduction of degree programs in Landau. This will also be continued for the application campaign for the winter semester 2024/25 starting in May 2024. Other planned changes include

- Adjustments to recognition processing
- Conversion of the notification function for processing / FB
- General quality assurance measures
