Market survey on absence management system successfully completed
The market survey for the absence management system (AMS) digitalization project was completed on schedule by the end of March 2025. The comprehensive analysis examined existing solutions at other universities and colleges as well as applications in the rest of the public sector.
As part of the active research, 25 companies were identified. This number was supplemented by two further companies that had expressed their interest in the course of a non-binding preliminary information (ex-ante announcement).
A structured exchange took place with 19 of these companies. The providers then received a detailed questionnaire with the key functional, technical, data protection and IT security-related issues relating to the proposed solution. The respective solutions were also assessed in detailed discussions and on the basis of selected product demonstrations. After carefully comparing the remaining solutions, five to six were identified as potentially suitable.
The next steps include the selection of a suitable award procedure, the preparation of the necessary award documents and the subsequent publication of the award notice, which is planned for May 2025.
