Launch of the Central Electronic Hazardous Substances Register project
The project to introduce a central electronic hazardous substance register at TUK has been launched and is scheduled to run until 30.04.2022.
The Hazardous Substances Ordinance (GefStoffV) requires every employer to keep a register of all hazardous substances present in the company. This register of hazardous substances not only provides information about a substance, its origin and its character, but also about its use in the company. It is also an important part of the risk assessment.
The aim of the project is to create a legally compliant hazardous substance register in order to implement the requirements of §6 and §7 of the GefStoffV. This includes the safe handling of hazardous substances to ensure the safety of employees, their health and the environment, to better control the quantities and forms of hazardous substances at TUK and to quickly and easily identify hazardous substances that are no longer required and can be removed from the work environment.
Dr. Alisa Melnikova from Department Z - Central Services is in charge of the project.
