Spin+X Retreat Bad Dürkheim 2021
After a Corona-induced break in 2020, the annual retreat of the CRC/TRR 173 Spin+X could finally take place again from October 06-08, 2021 at the Kurpark Hotel in Bad Dürkheim, in compliance with the current Corona regulation of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. The program of the first two days consisted of presentations on the latest developments in the individual projects and supply chains as well as in-depth discussion of this content in two poster sessions. However, the 76 physicists, chemists and engineers present also discussed the exciting world of spin during lunch, dinner and coffee breaks. In addition to presenting recent successes, they also discussed the future direction of the Collaborative Research Center.
The third day was reserved for the students alone. The focus was on a teambuilding event in the framework of the Young Researcher College in order to network the students even better.
During the retreat, two new members were inducted:
- Dr. Libor Šmejkal, Theoretical Physics, JGU Mainz.
- Dr. Angela Wittmann, Experimental Physics, JGU Mainz
The next retreat will again take place at the Kurpark Hotel in Bad Dürkheim in autumn in 2022.
