Spin+X Job Offers

The DFG Transregional Collaborative Research Center CRC/TRR 173 "Spin+X – Spin in its collective environment" currently invites applications for these jobs:

Ph.D. positions:

NV Sensing for Ultrathin Magnetic Materials

Spin-Lattice Coupled Spintronics (Theory)

Spintronics and Spin Dynamics (experiment)

Antiferromagnetic Spintronics (experiment)

Theoretical Spintronics

Spin Transport and Spin Manipulation - from spin superfluidity to neuromorphic computing (experiment)

The Collaborative Research Center Spin+X combines the expertise of physics, chemistry, and mechanical and process engineering into a unique platform dedicated to advanced spinengineering. We explore new frontiers in the field of collective spin effects through cross-disciplinary collaborations and cutting-edge experimental and theoretical methods. The research ranges from the fundamental realm of spins in molecules and solids to the development of complex spintronics device structures and magnetic sensors. Ph.D. students will benefit from the Spin+X Young Researcher College that combines structured graduate education with team supervision and a tailored training program.

We actively encourage applications by women. It is a distinctive goal of Spin+X to promote careers of women and improve work-family balance. We encourage all Spin+X members to actively shape this work environment. In case you have any questions concerning theses aspects, please turn to the Spin+X Gender Officer Prof. Dr. Bärbel Rethfeld.

In addition, both host universities are certified as family-friendly and equal opportunity employers (Diversity, Equality and Family Office at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau, Equality and Diversity Office at JGU Mainz).

We also actively encourage applications by candidates with severe disabilities.
