Participation of employees in personnel development measures during working hours
With around 3,500 employees, RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau is one of the most important employers in the region. Its claim to excellence in research, teaching, continuing education and services, both at regional and national level and in a competitive international environment, is accompanied by high expectations of the willingness and ability of all those involved at the university to perform.
In its mission statement, RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau expresses that sustainable success is closely linked to the potential and commitment of people in all areas of work and at all levels. For this reason, RPTU accompanies, supports and promotes its employees in all phases of their life and work in a needs- and goal-oriented manner.
Against this backdrop, it is a particular concern of the university management to ensure modern and professional staff development for all target groups and to secure it in the long term.
In this context, the university management also makes it explicitly clear that the participation of all target groups in the internal personnel development offers is generally welcomed and supported. Participation in seminars, lectures, workshops and other formats from the internal personnel development offer should be made possible by the responsible managers as recognized working time.
Exceptions to this principle must be justified by the manager to the employee concerned on a case-by-case basis.
