Spin+x co-organizes final round of the federal physics competition

Between May 27th and 29th, twenty high-school students of years 10 and 11 visited the university campus in Kaiserslautern to participate at the third and final round of the federal physics competition. Half of them were actively competing in the contest, the other half visited physics lectures and conducted experiments in the lab. The tasks included waveoptics, lasers and scanning tunneling microscope (STM). On Wednesday, May 29 the winners of the competition are elected. He/She will be invited for an internship to gain further insight into the world of Spin+X.

The federal competition is sponsored by the federal government, the State Research Center OPTIMAS, the Collaborative Research Centers Spin+X and OSCAR as well as the foundation Pfalzmetall, the Kreissparkasse Kaiserslautern and the Lionsclub Kaiserslautern
