Zoom Regulars' table for PhD candidates
The next Zoom Regulars' table for PhD candidates is still being planned
If you would like to take part in the doctoral student get-together, please send an e-mail to zgapl[at]rptu.de. We will be happy to forward your enquiry.
In addition to the open questions and therapy session, the regulars' table will be supplemented by another item on the agenda: a mini colloquium. Each session, one member will present their dissertation topic to the group in around 15 to 20 minutes and ‘answer questions’. Last Monday, Verena Riffel was given this honour. She presented her topic: ‘Intrigues in German literature around 1800 and their didactic potential’. In the follow-up discussion, Verena reflected the following: 'For her, it was a great and, above all, conceptually profitable experience. The audience emphasised good points and discovered weaknesses in the argumentation or concept, but also potential that she herself had previously overlooked or left untapped. This was also very special for her, as this was her first opportunity to present her dissertation in its entirety, even though she has already been working on this topic for two years. Andy Sudermann will be presenting a paper at the next meeting on 28.10.. Andy is still at the beginning of his doctorate and is still in the topic-finding phase. He will either present your preliminary PhD topic or a conference contribution.
