What is so fascinating about working in science?

How is it possible to combine science, teaching, family and leisure time?

With the campaign "Female scientists at RPTU introduce themselves", female scientists at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau present themselves in short video portraits. The aim is to present their path into science, their experiences, motivations and goals.

A total of 21 female scientists from both locations took part in the project as "role models" and answered the following questions in short interviews:

• The path to science - what was your first career aspiration? How did you choose your field of study?
• What made you decide to pursue a career in science? What do you like about your profession?
• Research in simple terms. What are your research topics? What excites you about your research topics?
• How does your research benefit science and the general public? Who has influenced you in your scientific development?
• Life with science. What does a typical day look like for you? Keyword: compatibility of family and career? What do you do outside of work?
• What do you like about your life with science? How do you experience the exchange with colleagues?
• The future path in science. What are your next goals?
