What is it about?

This short workshop introduces five essential steps for effective research data management, derived from the 5S method, which is rooted in the Japanese „Kaizen“ concept. These steps – Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain – are designed to help you establish a structured approach to managing your individual research data and ensure the longterm maintenance of this system.

This introduction targets doctoral students across all disciplines who have had limited or no overlap to research data management. It offers a concise introduction on how to improve the organization of their research data through systematic practices.

Target Group

The course is primarily for doctorial candidates from the RPTU.
