Continuous development

The RPTU sees personnel development as a central component of a modern university culture. The aim is to promote the individual skills of our employees, to support their professional development in the long term and thus to strengthen the performance of the entire university. It is based on the ‘Framework Concept for Personnel Development’ of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate and also includes the ‘Framework Concept for Occupational Health Management’.

Objectives of personnel development

Our services are aimed at all employees – from administration and research staff to managers. We offer a wide range of measures, including:

  • Further education and training for professional and interdisciplinary qualifications
  • Individual counselling and coaching services for personal development
  • Programmes for management development and support in leadership tasks
  • Measures to promote health and work-life balance 


Through targeted personnel development, we aim not only to expand the knowledge and skills of our employees, but also to promote motivation, satisfaction and identification with the RPTU. Our goal is to support, train and motivate the employees of the RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau in the spirit of a modern, innovative and future-oriented university administration.
