Funding opportunities for early career researchers in Germany - an overview
When and where?
22.07.2025, 2 pm - 3 pm
The event takes place online via zoom
What is it all about?
There are numerous funding programmes for researchers in Germany - while some of the programmes are aimed more at experienced researchers, there are also some that are particularly interesting for early career researchers who are aiming for an academic career after their doctorate.
The event will provide specific information on the various funding instruments for early career researchers in the different career phases after the doctorate.
The focus is on programmes that can be used to finance one's own position, but which serve not only to finance but also to further academic qualification.
Opportunities to apply for junior research groups (Emmy Noether Programme, BMBF junior research groups, etc.) as well as programmes for experienced postdocs on the path to a professorship (Heisenberg Programme) and the support offered within the RPTU will be presented.
Please note: Funding opportunities for financing your own dissertation will not be discussed.
