Further education - Conditions of participation and registration

Information on how to register for each workshop of the TU-Nachwuchsring can be found in the respective workshop announcement. Registration is usually done via an online registration form or via e-mail.

After your registration you will receive a confirmation of your regristration by e-mail. Please note that this does not constitute a confirmation of your participation in the course. If you are allocated a place, you will receive a binding confirmation and further information about the workshop by e-mail after the registration deadline. If the workshop you have chose is already fully booked, we will also contact you by e-mail. The same applies to changes in dates or locations.

If you have difficulties with the online form, you can send us the completed registration form via e-mail. You will then receive a confirmation of your registration by e-mail.

Places are usually limited and priority will be given to members of our target group who are members of the TU-Nachwuchsring (information on membership can be found here). If events are organized in cooperation with a third-party, places will be allocated proportionally.

Further criteria for the allocation are, for example, the affiliation to the primary target group of the respective event and the time of registration. However, we also want to give people who learned about the course shortly before the end of the registration deadline the chance to participate. Therefore, taking into account the target group, a part of the places will be allocated by random drawing.

There is no entitlement to participation.

If you expect that you will not be able to attend one of our courses, please inform us immediately. For most courses there are only a limited number of course places. Therefore, places that are forfeited due to lack or short notice of cancellation are very annoying! Not only for those on the waiting list, but also for the organizers and workshop leaders. BECAUSE: Even if you don't have to pay anything to attend, the courses are not free of charge! Therefore the following applies:

Persons who do not show up for the course or only parts of the course without cancelling or without giving a reason will be blocked from participating in TU Nachwuchsring courses for an initial period of 6 months. Persons who are absent from a course or parts of it without excuse again after this period will be permanently excluded from our course program! This regulation also applies to courses organized by our cooperation partners and in which the TU Nachwuchsring is involved as a co-organizer. 

Please send your withdrawal - even last-minute ones - by e-mail to info@nachwuchsring.uni-kl.de. Notification through the workshop leader is not sufficient!

The courses of the TU-Nachwuchsring are open ot all young scientists of the RPTU (doctoral candidates, postdocs, junior professors, junior group leaders and tenure-track professors; for details see our criteria for young scientists). Unless stated otherwise, they are free of charge for the members of this target group.

After successfull participation (confirmation by the workshop leader), you will receive a certificate of participation by e-mail. The certificate contains a summary description of the contents as well as an estimate of the time spent in the workshop. If you need your title or second name on the certificate, please make sure to fill out the registration form accordingly.

By registering for our course offerings, you agree to the following privacy policy: 

"I hereby agree to the storage and processing of my personal data within the framework of the privacy policy ot the RPTU. I agree that my data (e.g. surname, first name, status, institution, department, organizational unit) will be used for the organization of the event and will be passed on to the cooperating institution as far as this is necessary for the provision of the service."
