Mobility Funding

TU-Nachwuchsring - We promote young scientists!

Mobility funding

Several times a year, PhD students, postdocs, junior professors, junior research group leaders and tenure-track professors of the RPTU can apply to the TU-Nachwuchsring for funds of up to 2,000€ per person for participation in external conferences and external research stays.  In case of approval, the Nachwuchsring will cover the participation fees (up to a maximum of €600) and contribute to the travel costs (up to 80% of the DAAD lump sum or 80% of the costs incurred for domestic travel up to a maximum of €150).

Funding is provided for active participation (lecture/poster presentation) at conferences. In the case of summer or winter schools and workshops, passive participation is also funded (max. once per year). Please see the current call for applications for more details.

Note: You can also submit your application for funding if no final decision on acceptance by the organizer has been made at the time of submitting your application and you have not yet received confirmation of your contribution. In this case, you can simply submit the confirmation at a later date - but please make a brief reference to this in your application.

Support for the costs of individual childcare as a complementary measure to mobility funding

The TU-Nachwuchsring wants to support young scientists with children to participate in national and international congresses and conferences and external research stays. In this context, the TU-Nachwuchsring offers the option of a partial reimbursement of costs for individual childcare, which can be applied for as a complementary measure within mobility funding. Please contact us if you are interested.
