Funding for PhDs

TU-Nachwuchsring - We promote young science!

Research Funding

The TU Nachwuchsring would like to actively promote the visibility of young scientists and therefore regularly announces research funding for postdocs, junior group leaders and junior professors of all faculties of the RPTU. Purpose of this funding line is to support the applicants in preparing their own  third-party funding application, which will be processed as part of an employment at the RPTU. Further information about the funding line can be found here.

Coaching

Young scientists with a doctorate from the RPTU in Kaiserslautern can apply to the TU-Nachwuchsring for individual coaching. For example, coaching sessions that support you in your professional development or help you find a balance between career and family are funded.

In cooperation with the RPTU Self-Study Center, the TU-Nachwuchsring also offers face-to-face coaching as well as collegial case consultation in small groups. You can find more information here.

Externally organised further education courses

The TU-Nachwuchsring offers the possibility of participating in external continuing education programs as well as online seminars especially for the group of young scientists in Kaiserslautern who have completed their doctorates, as a supplement to the internal continuing education programs offered by the RPTU (coverage of the participation fees).

Internally organized further education courses

To promote the interdisciplinary qualification, the TU-Nachwuchsring offers a broad selection of internal continuing education opportunities to young scientists with doctorates from all RPTU departments. These include online and face-to-face seminars and e-learning courses available throughout the year.

In addition to the courses offered by the Nachwuchsring, you will also find a selection of courses offered by other RPTU continuing education providers as well as RPTU's affiliated institutes, which are also aimed at junior researchers.
