Support for participation in external training measures

...for young scientists of the RPTU holding a PhD

To support the academic careers of RPTU young researchers holding a PhD and as a supplementary measure to the RPTU's existing further education programme, the TU-Nachwuchsring offers to cover the costs of external attendance and online seminars until further notice.

Who will be supported?

All young researchers¹ at RPTU in Kaiserslautern who have completed their doctorates, e.g. postdocs, habilitation candidates, junior professors, junior research group leaders and tenure-track professors.

What is funded?

Funding is provided for participation in target group-specific courses that are aimed at promoting the academic career of the young researchers¹. These can be both online seminars and face-to-face seminars. The prerequisite, however, is that a course with a similar topic is not offered by the Nachwuchsring respectively another further education provider of the RPTU or is in planning (if necessary, please contact the Nachwuchsring office). If required, a selection of suitable further education courses can be requested from the office of the TU-Nachwuchsring.

In principle, the number of supports per person is not limited. However, the maximum amount of funding per year and person is € 1,500. Costs exceeding this amount must be covered by the applicant. Costs that will be covered include first of all participation fees, while travel expenses will not be covered (for other cost items, an individual eligibility review will be conducted). There is no claim to funding. Whether your application will be funded depends, among other things, on the available grants.

Please use only the associated application form for your request for funding and send it to the office of the TU-Nachwuchsring (nwr-gf@rptu.de). Please briefly explain in it why the course is necessary for your academic career.

Retroactive funding of training courses that have already been completed is not possible. For more information on the funding measure, please contact the office of the TU-Nachwuchsring.
