Online seminar "Feedback in Research – Clear, Constructive, Collegial"
This workshop is offered in cooperation with the High Performance Center Simulation and Software Based Innovation.

The course will take online via Zoom.
The arrangement of breaks will be agreed with the participants in the course.
What is it about?
Working independently in teams requires a high level of professionalism in communicating with teammates. Understandably, participants are expected to treat each other openly and respectfully and to resolve difficult situations autonomously. This requires knowledge and skills to clarify different perspectives and formulate them in an acceptable manner.
After this online seminar, you will know how to formulate your perceptions and perspectives as constructive feedback in an understandable and and respectful, and how to clarify the views of of your conversation partners in a benevolent manner.

- The role of feedback in academic work and supervision contexts
- Fundamentals of moderation didactics for constructive feedback processes
- Attitude, language and impact of feedback
- Structured feedback methods
- Dealing with difficult feedback and emotions
- Facilitating feedback sessions in groups and teams
- Perception and interpretation: How do we shape our reality?
- Thoughts become words: How can I formulate my reality construction in a way that is comprehensible for others?
- The art of giving feedback: How can I remain authentic and at the same time appreciative in my communication?
- How do I deal with non-constructive feedback in a solution-oriented way?
To ensure the sustainability of the training courses, participants also have the opportunity to obtain support after the training by telephone or e-mail.
Course goals
The aim of the seminar is to enable scientists to give and receive feedback in their everyday scientific work in an appreciative, clear and effective manner. Participants develop moderation and teaching skills for managing feedback processes in working groups, supervisory situations and collegial contexts.

Technical requirements
- Laptop/tablet with stable internet connection, microphone, camera, zoom (in most cases).
- Powerful internet with a current browser.

Trainer
Dr. Karina Bremer, Moderatio
Karina Bremer studied chemistry at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and completed her doctorate in Cambridge. She worked as a product manager at ZENECA and as a sales, communication and management trainer at Knoll Germany and MSD SHARP & DOHME. Karina Bremer has been a partner at MODERATIO Seifert & Partner since 2001.

You will only be informed about your admission to the course after the registration deadline. Participation is limited.
The course is open to researchers in early career stages of the RPTU as well as to employees and doctoral researchers at the Fraunhofer Institutes IESE and ITWM. Please note our information on the conditions of participation and registration.
