Dr. Nina Engwicht is a political scientist. Her research focuses on illicit markets in contexts of weak statehood, resource conflicts, and peace processes following civil wars. In June 2015, she received her Ph.D. from the University of Cologne with a dissertation titled “Illegal Markets in Post-Conflict Societies: The Sierra Leonean Diamond Market.”

Since 2019, she has been a full-time instructor in the Criminal Investigation Department at the Federal University of Public Administration.
