Zabrina Welter is currently a PhD student at the Chair of Sustainability Governance at the Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources and an ALMA fellow at the Arnold-Bergstraesser-Institut e.V. in Freiburg. She is also a teaching assistant for the Master's program in Environmental Governance, where she teaches on environmental conflicts, human-environment interactions and qualitative methods for studying socio-ecological problems. Her current research project focuses on the dynamics of resource governance in post-conflict resource politics, particularly in the context of the expansion of illegal gold mining in Colombia.
