Welcome Days Program

 

 

During our Welcome Days on Landau campus, we offer a portfolio of workshops and info sessions to help new international master students with an easy start of their studies in Landau. 

Our tailor-made Welcome Days program guides you through all administrative and organisational steps after your arrival in Landau:

  • Register at the foreigners' office or town hall
  • Take out a health insurance
  • Rental contract
  • Unblock your blocked account and opening a bank account and transfer the semester contribution
  • Get enrolled, receive a uni-account and register for your courses
  • Apply for your UniCard
  • Be prepared for campus life and life in Germany in general
  • Get to know your co-students, program advisors and the RefIntA-staff

During a guided tour of the campus and the city, you will find that Landau campus is comfortably sized to find your way round easily. Plus everything in Landau can reached by foot or even more conveniently by bike.

On hiking and city tours you will get to know Landau and its surroundings, interesting historic sights and beautiful landscapes, and other cities nearby like Karlsruhe, Heidelberg or even Strasburg in France.

Administrative Steps

During our Welcome Days program, we guide you through registration at the foreigners' office/town hall, health insurance, enrollment, university ID and computer access, registration for courses, library, rental contracts, and other specific & individual needs.

 

 

We recommend to schedule the arrival in Landau for 1st to 3rd October for a start in the winter semester, so you can participate in the Welcome Days program and make sure you cover all necessary administrative and organisational steps before the lectures start.
