English version
My name is Emmanuel Niyodusenga , I come from Rwanda and I am a student at the Technical University Of Kaiserslautern in the department of architecture. Studying at this University is really a great opportunity of getting research-based knowledge from qualified Professors in technical and natural science Studies. This university is internationally recognised for its good performance especially in fields like Mathematics and Computer Science. What I like most at this university is the collaboration of students and their friendly professors which I always appreciate. Thought this university is located outside of the City Centre which is good place to study, it is also not far away from it( it take 7 to 10 Minutes by Bus or 30 minutes of Walk to get there). Apart from studies this university offers a variety of entertainments mainly sport (here you can find any kind of sport activity and any time) and music parties almost every week. Those who like to go out, there are many places to visit in this city and around like the Palatinate Forest (Pfälzerwald), Museums, Cinemas,... Another good thing i like is that students can travel using buses and trains in the region freely. Using your student card you can travel almost in the whole Rhineland-Palatinate and its surroundings up to neighbouring cities like Mannheim & Heidelberg free of charge. There are many international students from different countries and with a variety of cultures so you never fell lonely as a foreign student. For international postgraduates there is a centre called ISGS( International School for Graduate Studies) which takes care of you. It provides assistance in any problem that you may face like accommodation, visa and other formalities or just any problem during your stay. Furthermore we have a big community of Rwandans studying here. We help each other in all mainly in organising activities that represent and promote our culture/nation. We like to have fun together mostly when doing sports like playing football, volleyball, basketball and biking. The life in Kaiserslautern is really good mainly because of its low cost of living comparing to other cities and I appreciate it.
