Study at both locations

If you choose to study teaching at RPTU, you have the option to combine this at both campuses.

For this, you must first apply at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau.

  • Please note: Studying at both locations is only possible if a subject combination cannot be studied at one location.
  • If you choose the RPTU in Landau, you are enrolled there as a main listener and thus at the RPTU in Kaiserslautern as a campus listener (secondary location).
  • Or you choose the other way around: RPTU in Kaiserslautern as main location and RPTU in Landau as secondary location.

 

Additional Information:

You pay the full university fees at your primary location only. At the secondary location, you only have to pay an additional 10,- Euro for a Mensa card.

Furthermore, students whose main auditorium is located at the RPTU in Landau have the possibility to apply for an extended semester ticket of the ÖPNV within the VRN area. For further information, please contact the student secretariat at the RPTU in Landau.

Example:

  •    Type of school Gymnasium in Kaiserslautern
  •    Subject Computer Science in Kaiserslautern
  •    Subject Educational Sciences in Kaiserslautern
  •    Subject English in Landau

In this example, Kaiserslautern represents the main audience and Landau the campus audience.

Accordingly, in the Kaiserslautern application portal, select this combination:

You can then specify that the main auditor is in Kaiserslautern.

In the Landau application portal, select the campus listener of the RPTU in Landau and then the desired subject
If you would instead like to study one subject in Kaiserslautern and the school type, educational sciences and the other subject in Landau, choose this selection:
Accordingly, in the Landau application portal, select this combination:
In the Kaiserslautern application portal, enter this combination again:

You can then specify that the secondary audience should be in Kaiserslautern.
