Digital Process Engineering (DPE) is a four-semester, English-language master’s program designed for bachelor’s degree holders with a solid foundation in chemical or biochemical process engineering and a strong interest in the digital implementation of problems and solutions in these fields. A unique feature of the program is the bridge semester, during which even students with a bachelor’s degree that is not ideally suited to the program can be prepared for the master’s program. For students with the best academic aptitude, the bridge semester can be completed as an internship semester.

The mandatory modules teach skills in the areas of programming, simulation, data analysis, and optimization, linking them to a process engineering context through a project. Within two of the four available specializations (Thermodynamics, Reaction and Fluid Process Engineering, Particle Process Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering), further areas of focus are established through required elective modules. A wide range of elective courses allows students to pursue their own interests.
