RPTU is a place where people from over 120 countries study, teach, research and work together. Our location in Kaiserslautern, embedded in the nature of the Palatinate Forest, combines tradition and modernity. This lively and endearing city, with all its strengths and weaknesses, is home to people from a wide range of cultures, religions and backgrounds. Its diversity is reflected in multicultural events, in the architecture, in the culinary offerings and in the numerous associations and initiatives that promote dialogue and exchange. RPTU has always benefited from the cosmopolitan hospitality, respect and tolerance of the people of Kaiserslautern.
As a university, we believe in democracy, freedom and scientific knowledge. We are convinced that it is important to ask questions, to question things, and that diversity is our greatest strength.
With the “Stop-Hand Challenge,” we are sending a clear signal. We stand together and show that diversity is not a threat, but our greatest strength. Diversity, respect and community are the basis for a future worth living.
Every “stop hand” that is raised makes it clear: we are many. We stand together – for respect, community and a future worth living.
Sincerely
Malte Drescher
President of the RPTU
