Within the first two weeks of your stay in Landau, you have to register as a resident atin Landau. When registering, you have to show your landlord's confirmation (Wohnungsgeberbestätigung) and passport.
EU citizens will have to appear in person at the Citizens' Center/ Bürgerbüro, which is located in the town hall at the market place and provide your personal information. Non-EU citizens will have to appear in person at the Foreigners' Office/Ausländerbehörde in Landau to register as a resident and request a residence permit.
