Notification of sickness/withdrawal
You may withdraw from an examination either without giving a reason or for a valid reason, depending on the applicable examination regulations. Please make sure you follow the withdrawal rules set out in your examination regulations.
If you withdraw for a valid reason (e.g. illness), you must:
- notify the Examination Office without delay, and
- submit appropriate supporting evidence (e.g. a medical certificate).
If you miss or withdraw from an examination due to illness, you must submit a medical certificate confirming your inability to take the exam.
Important:
The medical certificate must be submitted no later than 3 calendar days after the date of the examination.
Failure to meet this deadline will result in the absence being treated as unexcused.
Submission of the Certificate
- The certificate must be sent to the Examination Department.
- It can be submitted as a scanned copy via email.
- You must retain the original document for the duration of your studies and provide it upon request.
Additional Notes
A standard certificate of incapacity for work is not sufficient; the certificate must explicitly confirm inability to take the examination.
