 Application for guest student status 

As visting students, interested individuals can further their education in specific fields of knowledge by attending lectures, seminars, and tutorials offered by the departments without having to be enrolled in a regular degree program or pursue a qualifying degree.

Admission as a guest student is valid for one semester and is subject to a fee. In addition to the €6 fee for the guest student certificate, the fees are based on the number of hours per week during the semester: 

How to become a visiting student at RPTU: 

Please submit an application for visiting student status before the start of the courses for the respective semester. Courses begin around April 20 for the summer semester and October 20 for the winter semester. The exact dates can be found in the deadlines and dates calendar. The courses offered can be found in the corresponding course catalog. For:

Useful information for visiting students

• The documents for the respective courses are shared via the OpenOlat learning platform. Visiting students can set up guest access here and ask the respective instructors for access to the courses.
• To use the RPTU library, you must register as an external user.
• As a visiting student, you cannot register for exams and therefore cannot earn student credits or ECTS points.
