The Bachelor's degree programmes at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau lead to a first professional qualification after a standard period of study of six semesters. They impart fundamental scientific and methodological competences as well as professional, interdisciplinary qualifications.

With a Bachelor's degree, both direct entry into professional life and further qualification within the framework of a Master's programme are possible. Depending on the subject or combination of subjects, the Bachelor's degree programmes conclude with a

  •     Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)
  •     Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)
  •     in the teaching profession: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.)

The following Bachelor's degree models are offered at the RPTU:

  •     One-subject Bachelor's programme
  •     Two-subject Bachelor's programme
  •     Bachelor's degree programme for teachers

     

     

    Bachelor models at the RPTU

    Ein-Fach-Bachelor

    In the single-subject Bachelor's degree programme, the focus is on one subject. Within the framework of the degree programmes, it is usually possible to set an individual focus within the subject area.
    The RPTU offers an extensive range of study subjects. 

    Zwei-Fach-Bachelor

    The two-subject Bachelor's degree programme at RPTU consists of the study of two basic subjects, one elective subject and one interdisciplinary profile area. You can combine the basic subjects as freely as possible, so that individual focal points are possible and unique courses of study are created.

    Teaching-related Bachelor's degree programme

    In Rhineland-Palatinate, the teaching-related Bachelor's degree programme is the first step on the path to becoming a teacher. In addition to the choice of school subjects, the Bachelor's degree programme also includes the decision as to which type of school you will specialise in. The RPTU is the only university in Rhineland-Palatinate to offer teacher training programmes in all types of schools:

    •  Primary school (Landau)
    •  Special school (Landau)
    •  Realschule plus (Kaiserlautern and Landau)
    •  Grammar school (Kaiserslautern and Landau)
    •  Vocational school (Kaiserslautern)
