ERASMUS+ Program

Erasmus+ is the European Union's program for education, youth and sport. With a budget of around 26.2 billion euros, around ten million individuals are set to benefit from Erasmus+ by 2027. In the university sector, these are students in all study cycles up to and including doctoral studies who wish to complete part of their studies or an internship abroad, as well as university staff.
On this page you can find out more about organizing, planning and applying for a stay abroad with Erasmus+.
The Erasmus program offers many attractive advantages, such as
- Simplified application procedure
- All participants receive Erasmus funding
- No tuition fees at the host university
- Recognition of credits earned abroad
- Support at RPTU and at the host university (cultural, linguistic, organizational, technical), as well as special support at the host university in other areas such as finding accommodation, local language courses, events/orientation courses for Erasmus students
Careful and timely planning is very important for the organization of a stay abroad. If you would like to participate in the Erasmus program, we recommend a meeting with the Erasmus coordinator of your department at least 8 months before the planned stay. Please note any internal departmental notifications regarding information events, deadlines, etc.
The RefIntA will also be happy to support you in preparing and applying for an Erasmus stay abroad. Please call us or send us an email.
As part of the Erasmus+ program, universities in 27 EU countries along with Iceland, Liechtenstein, FYR Macedonia, Norway and Turkey can establish partnerships for the purpose of studying abroad. The departments at RPTU currently have agreements with around 140 universities in 21 countries. See which partner universities are active in your department.
