PROMOS
The Daad PROMOS program provides financial support to students at German universities for their stays in countries outside of Europe. The scholarships are awarded by the RPTU in accordance with DAAD funding regulations

The scholarship consists of a one-time travel grant and a monthly stipend. The amount of funding varies by country: PROMOS Funding Rates 2026
In Landau, mobilities from March to December are eligible for funding.
Application period: December 1st 2025 – January 15th 2026

- Very good to excellent grades
- Good language skills
- Relevance of the mobility to studies at RPTU
- Letter of Motivation (including details about preparation, choice of host country, reasons for studying abroad)

Students with a disability or chronic illness can apply for a grant to cover additional expenses.
Requirements:
- A degree of disability (GdB) of at least 50 or a medically confirmed chronic illness
- Costs are not covered by another source
Documents:
- Notice of denial of coverage from the health insurance provider or supplemental insurance
- Copy of disability ID card or, in case of chronic illness, a medical certificate describing the medical requirements
- Additional documents providing a clear explanation of the necessity and reasonableness of the increased expenses
