120 years of the zoo: "Zoolandia" station theater takes young and old into the world of animals

The Center for Cultural and Knowledge Dialogue at RPTU (ZKW), together with the Landau Zoo, invites you to a special cultural event on Saturday, October 11: Under the direction of the ZKW, the theater group of the Förderverein Kinder und Jugend Edesheim will present the station theater "Zoolandia".

Visitors can expect an extraordinary theatrical journey through the zoo: while two adult actors guide the audience through the facility with exciting facts about the flora and fauna, the children take on various roles of the animal inhabitants. For example, they bring storks, meerkats, flamingos, tigers and monkeys to life in an unusual way right in front of the enclosures - sometimes dancing, sometimes poetic, sometimes humorous.

Whether photogenic flamingos, rhyming tigers or monkeys dancing in masks - the play shows zoo life from a very special perspective: from the point of view of the animals themselves. The performance starts at 2 p.m. inside the zoo entrance and ends at 3:30 p.m. at the monkey enclosure.

Please note: Landau Zoo is generally barrier-free and suitable for visitors with baby carriages or wheelchairs. However, some areas - such as the incline to the tiger and dromedary enclosure - are not fully accessible.
