End-of-semester concert in St. Mary's Church on July 9, 2026 at 7.30 pm On Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 7.30 pm, the University Music Department on the Landau campus and the Office for Music Culture and Music Education invite you to the end-of-semester concert with RPTU choir and orchestra in Landau in St. Mary's Church. The overture in D major to "Le Nozze di Figaro" and the mass "Vesperae solennes de cofessore" KV 339 for choir, soloists and orchestra by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart as well as the violin concerto in D major op. 61 by L. v. Beethoven will be performed. The vocal solos will be sung by students, the solo in the violin concerto will be played by the young violinist Yungi Kaneko. On Friday, July 10 at 7.30 pm, the concert will be repeated with an identical program in the Stiftskirche in Neustadt an der Weinstraße; the violin solo at this concert will be played by the young violinist Jie Wan. Admission to the event is free, donations to cover expenses are welcome.
