Kaiserslautern is celebrating "750 years of city rights" this year. RPTU, the only technical university in Rhineland-Palatinate, has helped write over 50 years of the city's history since it was founded in 1970. The university is one of the largest employers in the region, a driving force in science and a vibrant part of the city community. In its anniversary year, this shared history will find special expression in the numerous scientific and cultural events that RPTU is contributing to the marathon celebrations - in the city and on campus.
