Research
My research focuses on algorithmic discrete optimization, particularly the design and analysis of efficient methods for discrete, finite optimization problems. My work also focuses on uncertainties and incomplete information—for example, through the development and evaluation of online algorithms and robust methods, each with mathematically provable performance guarantees. These topics touch on related fields such as graph theory, complexity theory, game theory, and stochastics. Many of my research questions arise from practical applications and lead to interesting theoretical problems.
