Research

My main research areas are (i) homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis with molecularly defined catalysts, (ii) N-donor ligands, (iii) porous materials with defined surface functionalities, (iv) mechanisms of catalytic 8x space reactions. In these subject areas, I have published around 215 scientific publications, guided 41 doctoral students to their doctorates and acquired research projects and third-party funding from industry, the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, the DFG and the EU amounting to well over 8 million euros.
