Research focus
My research focuses on the intersection of media and (higher) education pedagogical issues, whereby I am particularly concerned with the question of how pedagogical action can absorb social transformation processes and how educational institutions can be designed accordingly. As part of my research activities, I deal with school and university development and pedagogical action under the condition of digitality as well as with the professionalism and professionalization of teachers and pedagogical leaders. Other topics include inequality and difference in pedagogical contexts and the university as an educational institution. In terms of research methodology, I am particularly interested in qualitative-reconstructive as well as developmental and design-oriented approaches.
