What to expect: The PhysicsLab takes you on an exciting journey through physics, with a variety of experiments for everyone: from physics novices to budding experts. Get to know the fascinating world of electricity and magnetism. What are waves and what do water and light have in common? How do solar cells, wind turbines and various sensors actually work? Come along and try it all out for yourself!

What to expect: Come to the coldest place in Rhineland-Palatinate and experience how atomic clouds are cooled ultra-strongly at a temperature of 100 microkelvin above absolute zero. Learn about the operating principle of the magneto-optical trap and get a taste of the basics of quantum mechanics.

What to expect: Lasers are indispensable tools in many physics laboratories. In this workshop, you will learn about particularly powerful lasers that are even used as laser scalpels. We will also show you how lasers are used in quantum measurement technology and even generate individual light particles.
