The interdisciplinary master's degree program in mechanical engineering with business administration is aimed at all those who, in addition to a basic education in essential areas of mechanical engineering, also want to gain insights into economic contexts and business management. This is the best prerequisite for founding your own company, for a career in management consulting or for management positions in all areas of the mechanical engineering industry. The degree qualifies students for doctoral studies.
The compulsory modules from the area of mechanical engineering Construction Management, Systems of Production I/II, Digital Engineering II, Mechanical Systems, Laboratory Machine Design or Laboratory Production Engineering comprise a total of 21 credit points. A further 18 credit points are earned in elective modules from the field of economics, and another 9 credit points from the general elective area of mechanical engineering. The project thesis (12 LP) and the master's thesis (30 LP) can be used to demonstrate the ability to work scientifically.
