Content

The master's degree program in production engineering provides broad-based knowledge for the planning and operation of production plants. Students deepen their ability to independently apply theoretical knowledge for the analysis and solution of technical and business management problems in industry and research. The high importance and technological dynamics of production processes (Industry 4.0) leads to excellent job market prospects for graduates in a wide range of industries from mechanical and automotive engineering to aerospace engineering, medical technology or consulting. The degree qualifies graduates for doctoral studies.

Curriculum

The compulsory modules Systems of Production I/II, Advanced Methods of Geometric Production Measurement, Physical Measurement Methods, Handling Technology and Industrial Robots, Automation Technology II, Sustainability in Production and the Manufacturing Technology Laboratory or the Automation and Control Technology Laboratory comprise a total of 26 credit points. A further 22 credit points are collected in elective modules, of which 16 credit points are from a selection specially adapted to the degree program. With the project work (12 LP) and the master thesis (30 LP), the skills for scientific work can be proven.
