The Master's programme follows on directly from the content of the previous Bachelor's programme, but gives you greater freedom and takes your professional interests into account. In the economics part of the Master's programme, you can choose a focus area from a wide range of topics. The economics curriculum is supplemented by compulsory modules in qualitative or quantitative methods and a compulsory economic internship.
The economic focus is chosen from a profile area.

In the Computer Science specialisation, the contents of the Bachelor's degree programme are continued. Here, too, many options are open to you:
You have to choose modules worth 34 ECTS credits from the core and specialisation modules from two of the five teaching areas of the Department of Computer Science:
- Embedded Systems and Robotics
- Information Systems

- Distributed and Networked Systems
In addition, a seminar with 4 ECTS credits from one of the two selected teaching areas must be taken. The subjects already chosen in the Bachelor's programme can be continued or new subjects can be started.
An important pillar of the Master's programme is research-based learning with seminars, a research project and the Master's thesis.
The Master's programme builds on the subject areas already known from the Bachelor's programmes and deepens the technical and economic contents in roughly equal proportions of the curriculum. The chosen technical specialisation is retained. Thanks to the wide range of options, however, each student is free to choose an individual course of study.

In terms of methodology, the Master's programme at the Department of Business and Economics takes into account the students' personal responsibility and independence by switching to research-based learning.
The focus here is on independent research work in the context of a seminar paper, a research project and the final research project and the final Master's thesis.

An internship in economics of at least 12 weeks is part of the curriculum.

Industrial engineers are in demand in many industries thanks to their interdisciplinary skills. Master's graduates are particularly recommended for demanding tasks in specialist and management positions within business and industry. A Master's degree also entitles graduates to do a doctorate and thus opens up the possibility of pursuing a career in science.

Analysis and conception of business processes as well as development, adaptation and introduction of operational information and communication systems; performance of management tasks in IT departments and specialist departments or for IT companies and consultancies.
