The Master`s program in Commercial Vehicle Technology (CVT) is the first interdisciplinary Master’s program worldwide that is fully accredited by ASIIN. The program offers a bilingual, interdisciplinary approach and a close cooperation with industry.
The education and research on CVT topics like...
• Hybridization & Electrification
• Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
• Autonomous Driving
• Big Data & Artificial Intelligence
• Simulation & Digital Twins
• Human-Machine Interaction
...integrate all major fields of the product life cycle of commercial vehicles, such as vehicle design & dynamics, materials science, joining technology, and production technology. At the same time, it also incorporates a range of sociological aspects and soft skills.
The Master`s program in Commercial Vehicle Technology is an interdisciplinary Master`s program offered by the following faculties:
• Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering
• Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
• Department of Computer Science
• Department of Social Sciences
• Department of Business Studies and Economics
The CVT program is designed for three major target groups:
• Highly qualified German graduate students
• Highly qualified international graduate students
• High-potential employees of CVT enterprises as a further education opportunity
Graduates of the CVT-Master program should be able to work on the increasingly interdisciplinary areas of application in the Commercial Vehicle sector. They will be provided with basic knowledge in each of the three engineering disciplines combined with special CVT-knowledge either in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. The technical component of the Master’s course will be complemented by cross-disciplinary and soft skills courses in social sciences and business studies/ economics .
The program implies:
• Compulsory and elective engineering modules (choice from catalogue)
• Cooperative research activities
• Internship in German industry
• Social science & business studies/ economics and soft skills courses
• Orientation Course (including Language course) for international students: https://rptu.de/en/international/master/current-students/service-support/orientation-language/orientation-course
